We still have this baby, give us a call if interested. Since the video, we have changed to front end springs, upper and lower A arms, and took the camber out of it. It was built this way, but we think it was better for most folks to have it factory.

I own a 69 but must admit. I've watched this video 100's of times and just love it. I'm not a purist. These cars are handsome and with the GTR power train. Actually sounds similar to standard 69 TR6. A real sleeper. Love It !

Those old british cars are just as cool as Ferraris they just didn't have the power. I think cars like this are going to become insanely popular.

A lot of work and is unusual to say the least. It is that sort of car shape that attracts unusual builds...i have a standard cp version so have no clue what is going on with your one....great build quality.

If you are curious...The L should be there in the comm #....stands for left hand drive....if it had an O next to that....so an comm # ending in LO, that would be left hand drive with overdrive.

I love the crash pad delete / body color as opposed to black vinyl. Some fab was required to tuck that metal lip under (front, facing the cabin), correct? Looks pretty 'dashing' I must say 😄

TR6 wipers should park just like a modern car, maybe a bad ground or failing wiper motor? Where is the secondary / safety hood latch? If it was built in 1968 and sold in 1968 it's a 1968. Judging by the VIN it's a very early (# 1584) model. The "L" in the VIN is for left hand drive "USA/ Export Model".

Yes, to see that plate stamped 1968 is very puzzling, was it moved from a TR250??

That early commission number plate carries a date that refers to the emissions spec to which it conforms, not the build date. It is misleading. Later the plates were enlarged and move to the driver side B post. These plates carried the build date. The first TR6s were manufactured in Q4 of 1968 although they were 1969 model year cars

not liking that dash very much, wonder why the builder didn't stay with the original wood? plus those fat wheels/tyres sticking way out beyond the wheel arches, I guess that might be because of the disc brake conversion on the back? very nice car though and lovely sounding exhaust.

Mods is one thing, generally like the classic cars being beefed with modern tech like the dashboard etc, what throws me off a bit is the turbo.. it should have been a naturally aspirated engine. Is it still on the market?
