This board is Exway's wave. I've had my Wave for a year and love riding. My battery stopped working 2 months into it. I went through a process with customer service which felt good until after having sent video and being told that they had everything they needed. They went dead with no responses to my emails. After a week and many attempts I contacted Electric Boarding Company who I had ordered through and asked if they would advocate for me. They did and I was sent a newer version battery within a couple weeks from Exway! I bought the Wave in part for the removable battery. It's a point of potential failure. The securing brackets can be difficult to slide the battery on. I noticed in this video that they deftly edited around that operation. The brackets can be adjusted but that's risking the batteries connection with the board as there's plenty of vibration. I really like the smaller tail on this board. It lets me steer without adjusting my foot by just rolling it. Genius! Love the contours and mucho grip. I've gone places I would never have gone with a bike or walking. Oh yeah the back wheels are so thin that I feel every bump. I need to change out for some cloud wheels. I wonder if the Rover 110 would be good? Anybody use aftermarkets on the Wave?
🤙🏼⚡⚡🤙🏼 *Nice to see a board that isn't brand new* on the channel but is still a good board and a great option for many.* I would like to see an update soon though, longer wheelbase, slightly wider trucks and maybe 12S system. Just under 30" is the perfect size for mini 👌🏼 I still love my Ownboard M1 mini, I had the hub drive mini before that, wider trucks than this Wave thought and easy to change the truck and baseplates, for crazy modders like me 😂 The wave is such a nice deck, just enough concave, and light enough to take anywhere. So much fun carvin on mini with 45deg trucks 👌🏼👌🏼 Nice to feel like you're goin super fast without goin super fast 😂 Perfect boards for commutes and trips to the cinema cos it's so easy to store under your feet, behind a locker, etc. Doesn't take up too much space.
I agree with you, and I think the Wave's greatest strength is its quick-swap battery system. Of course, you have to buy several batteries, but it was special that you could go beyond the range limit of the mini board. Also, the battery configuration that can be loaded on the plane seems to have made the purpose of the wave even more special. Thanks bro~ :)
@@KAMiJUINs Very hard to perfect quick-swap, Exway did it so well. You can take 2 or 3x 99Wh batteries when you travel, that way you can take it with you
I was mentioned that there used to be a 260-280wh battery when this board first came out but they discontinued it. I would love tp get my hands on one. 😅
안녕하세요, 전동보드 처음 입문하려는 저에게 유튜버님 영상에 도움 많이 받고 있습니다~ 동네 마실용 + 여행용을(비행기) 위해 배터리 탈착식 보드를 찾는데 웨이브뿐인가요? 아니면 추천 해주실 만한 보드가 따로 있을까요? 개인적으로 웨이브가 다 좋은데 주행거리가 제 생각보다 짧아서 고민 하고 있어요, 오래된 모델이라 혹시 후속 나오지 않을까 싶기도 하고요
네, 안녕하세요~ 말씀하신 기종은 웨이브밖에는 없는 것으로 알고 있습니다. 일단 비행기 적재 가능한 배터리 용량이 100W 미만이기때문에 여행용이시라면 레인지는 일정부분 포기하셔야할것 같습니다. Yeah, normally that's true. In the hub motor method, the motor itself is a wheel, and the rotation ratio between the motor and the wheel is 1:1. However, belt drives can create higher gear ratios by using motor pulleys and wheel pulleys. This produces more powerful torque and provides superior performance in acceleration and braking where torque is involved. As such, battery consumption is greater than that of the hub method.
It’s been very hard to purchase a e board for my son I wish I knew who would donate one to him because he is a good boy but I can’t afford it right now 😢
