We used to be really good at making the cue noise to advance the slide forward, tricking the teacher. When it worked the whole class would laugh their rears off 😁
These huge C bodys were even available with a slant 6 225 cu in. And a manual 3 speed. We tried to claim it was the best long range commuter car. Well it was slow but the engine was ever lasting but doing all the work to move this huge car did away with anything like fuel economy.
Exactly - the 265 Hemi Six from Adelaide would have been a much better suited engine for those giants...but, it was for Australia only! Seems bonkers that it wasn't tried - it was a great engine.
The 1970 Polara and Monaco were the only two fuselage bodies that were better than 1969. Chrysler had a knack of bringing out a great design and then tweaking it to death.
This is a dealer information presentation. The idea is to help the dealer sell the automobile. The automobile the dealer will be selling is the Dodge automobile. The more Dodge automobiles the dealer sells the more money he and the motor company will make.
Dad and step dad competed Wich one hand the niceset polar back then. Accidentally put one in the black berry patch 30' down the hill from where I livedleft me in the front seat. 3 years old, by myself. First time I stole Their car..
Communism isnt, nor was it ever the foundation for American capitalism. Today we have socialism for the extremely wealthy and rugged capitalism for average Americans. Banks and big businesses are always bailed out for their over-reach, foibles, and dare we say...ecconomic crimes. Average Americans are drowning in debt and all social programs are being slashed because no one wants their taxes to pay for them. But the richest three Americans pay NO taxes and they own more than the bottom 50 percent of Americans. Communism is not a problem. Socialism for the extremely rich and bogus trickle down economics are destroying America as we know it. We are moving into late stage Capitalism reminiscent of the 19th century. Our jobs we will contnue to be outsourced because of the continued financialization of the economy at the expense of production and manufacturing. I hope there's an answer for this but it appears people are always willing to vote against their own interests if you throw them some red meat.
Is that the same 70's where the top tax bracket was 70% and the income inequality was much smaller than it's now in the US? (agree totally with Jesse!)
@@somersetdc Soooooo, to be clear. American capitalism is not reliant on communism for its existence and alllllll those iPhones, computers, car parts, clothes, appliances are ALL made in non-communist countries. Oh, and let's not forget about pork products and coffee - all not majority supplied by communists, right? Someday people will get a clue. Someday.
@@JJVernig Try the 1950s when there was a 91% tax bracket, unions were strongest, there was a federal luxury tax, yet America was its most successful and the MAJORITY of workers could afford a home, a wife who did not work, and a car. Oh, and the president was a REPUBLICAN, and one whose policies (infrastructure!) would be considered communist today.
