Wow , I have a 1969 one sitting in the garage for about 20+ yrs and you just woke my enthusiasm to get to work on it. Thanx! Looks incredible 👍😎👌 nothing like a rag top !!!!!
had a 70 b that I restored and regrettably now, sold for a 61 vette. I admire your perfectionistic work ethic which mirrors mine. love your finished dream car. you will love your efforts!!!
I restored my 70 mg with the help of a friend who owned a body shop 25 years ago ,and still drive it are few times a year . I went with 75 Porsche red looks close to your color love it
Amazing work, especially given the small amount of space you have. My 1972 MGB has a similar paint colour and black interior. BTW, what kind of welder do you recommend for doing the body panels?
Good looking B! I had a 1970 (the only year they made the split rear bumper) in '77/'78 in high school. Ironically, after undergrad I left university with a 1968 AMC Rambler! I'm wondering though; are you sure your front grill is "period?" Mine was the black front grill.
I know sometimes it is hard to quantify, but excluding your labor do you have an approximate price and time this project took?? I'm thinking about getting an MGB for my project car.
I never kept track of the hours but the project took around 11 months from the day I picked it up so probably closer to 9 months of actually working on it. I probably have around $8K in the car including the purchase price. My advise would be to buy the best one you can find. Make sure the floors and rockers are good, that alone took over a month.
