More Early STRAWBS goodness from an excellent (as the English say: sound desk) recording of the STRAWBS Epic
Concert at the Lyceum July 1970. THE BATTLE is from their 1969 self-titled album.

Rock was a member of the Strawbs from 1969 to 1971 when he left to join Yes. The Battle is on the Strawbs first album named Strawbs. Recorded 1968 before Ricks days

Yes and No, there is actually a TOP OF THE POPS recording of The Battle with Commander Wakeman playing organ...wood you like to hear it? Well, we've plans put it on the channel, maybe very soon.

That is a good question...but since it was acquired via peer 2 peer, really have no idea!

@@fueledbylove Thanks for answering. Just yesterday I had ordered a CD (Live at the BBC, Vol. 1: In Session by The Strawbs) from privat in the UK for more than 20 € (included shipping fee). It seems, that there is a live-version of "The Battle" probably recorded in 1969. The CD will be delivered until end of the month - I will see, how it sounds. [Volker, Germany]
