My father had one but it was the darker root beer brown with white interior nice car that person is acting up might be your problems instead of your carbarater they will cause poor idle and when you step on the gas it will buck and sputter like a carb problem I wood change the ignition components first our thunderbird got rear ended by a truck that was probably doing 80 mph it was parked on the street the guy was drunk thank god he hit our car we lived two houses of a main road that person would have drove right into someone may have t boned them and killed themselves or someone else we were inside eating dinner I think the are the last nice looking thunderbirds they got ugly ever the newer ones when they came back out they looked like they had the headlights of a new VW Beatle thank you for sharing you car lot of memories of that car 👍
Have the same tbird in Europe Lithuania. Put on Deamon Street demon 625cfm and it runs great. And btw I restored mine beeing in lithuania and you speaking about hard finding parts???? Nice. All parts from usa
