An old camera brochure from 1969 - 1970. Which camera's were available back then and how much did they cost? Prices are listed in good old Dutch guilders (ƒ). According to an inflation calculator tool you have to multiply the price by 2.3 to get the 2022 euro (€) price. Also keep in mind that the average annual salary was between ƒ2000 and ƒ2500 in 1970.

I have no clue if anyone is interested in it, but I thought it was interesting to see the prices from back in the days. Multiply the listed price (ƒ) by 2.3 to get the 2022 price in euro (€). So: ƒ100 = €230 ƒ500 = €1150

What a fantastic collection of gorgeous looking cameras, and on the very first page you turned to, there was my old Kodak Instamatic 133, or at least I think it was that model - I'll still have it, tucked away in some dark corner!!!! There were some pretty expensive cameras around at that time. Really great to see that lot.

I also was really surprised to see the prices, I never realized that a Pentax Spotmatic was almost a 1000 guilders or +2000 euro in today's currency. I recently got this brochure when I bought an old camera from someone, he gave me a lot of old photography magazines with it. Maybe I'll upload some more in the coming months, there is some really interesting stuff in the magazines like lens tests and typical 70's advertisements.

@@ohjajohh I recently got a Spotmatic for 15 pounds or about 17.60 euros, complete with a Helios 44-2 - there's a bit of a dent on the housing for the prism but other than that the camera is fine. It is rather fun looking through old camera mags and seeing all those cool looking cameras.
