Back in 1988 when I was lowering my first 1969 F100, I never thought I'd see the day when everyone wanted one. I had the only lower '67-72 F100 for years.
Just wondering but why did you leave the front mount on the rear suspension cradle? The video your installing the rear cradle it looked like the stock cradle mounting points could have been used as the mounts for a upper hoop to run coil springs or air bags and keep them in the stock location in the lower control arm.
Hi...followed your build and starting my own. Just going to do a coyote/6speed. I need to know the length of the rear coilovers from Viking it the part number if you can. Thanks
I smiled when you said you start at 5:30 in the morning when you were building your truck. I do the same thing early before I go to work, I am working on my restoration project. Where in Canada are you? I am in Manitoba. I just subscribed to your channel and am going to follow your build!
Did you find a suspension kit through Viking? Trying find a setup that will have my truck sit as low as yours for the front and rear when it’s done. Very sharp the way it sits.
Hey mate love the truck, just wondering what size wheels you are running, and the what the backspace/offset is? I have a ‘69 f100 and need to put some new wheels on :)
What degrees did you set the IRS? I have read and heard to set it at 0 to 2 degrees. Considering purchasing the same rear axle. Just trying to get some info before I make the purchase.
Great video Nice work on your old ford . I am in need of a new carb to get mine running again. I'll be cruising again by next week. I'm going to do the switch from Holley to Edelbrock . Any how you have a new sub . Best wishes .
You broke the the drive shaft bolt. This would not happen if you guys stop torquing everything. Am I the only person who know how to tighten bolts without a torque wrench?
Sweet truck, did you make a video for the front end swap? Where did you get the adaptors to run the corvette calipers up front (I really want to do this on my truck)
Sorry, I didn't start the videos until a few months after. The brackets came from I guy on facebook. I went back through my messages and searched facebook and he seems to have disappeared...
Looks great! I'm trying to restore my 89 Firebird. I'm not a matter mechanic or very wealthy. I'm trying to complete as much work on my own as possible to stretch my budget. I'm currently looking for an LT1 to swap in and I'm going to do my best with the body work. How crucial would you say it is to get the body removed to check the chassis? The car was involved in an accident before I bought it
The Go Fast Garage Like I said, I'm not a master mechanic lol well I'm glad you told me that now I dont have to worry about it. Yea unfortunately my Firebird is the 2.8l base modal, extremely underpowered.
I’m installing the same IRS in my 60 F100, can you give me the coil overs that you used and the dimension for the top coil over mount, thanks! The truck looks awesome!
Your cost for the driveshaft sounds like a lower dollar amount than I have heard from Americans using the new Mustang irs in their builds, even with the current conversion rate from US to Canadian dollars.
@@TheGoFastGarage thanks so u used the frame ,suspension, and all the drivechain. Motor ,trans.. etc? If yes , like the Victoria crow let the bump on the back and u have to cut the bed. With you is no a big bump and the rear on the bed ?
