I have read that those high output coils like the Pertronix work better with electronic ignition. I'm not sure if they ONLY work with electronic ignition but they are designed to be paired with the electronic ignitions.

That was a cover I made from a spray can. Worked great and I'm not really sure what happened to it! I lost it so now I'll have to make another.

I'm sorry I can not help out with that one! I got that distributor because it has the electronic ignition pre-installed. No more points.
