Looks absolutely stunning. Great job, and I will follow closely as I have a reissue (kit K511) on the way. Looking forward to the series!

I think that is where I saw it as well!

Not sure if you noticed, but the bottom rail where the engine mounts in the front looks to be warped and appears to bent out away from the front of the engine. Not sure if this is an optical illusion on camera only or if it is truly pushed out. The top rail looks to be straight, is this where your issue might be?

Bit of both, but in the end it is not the cause. The engine was too short.

Amazing work! Did you use low temp soldering for the frame? how hard it was? could you share some more details on how did you execute the soldering?

Hello - I am really enjoying the amazing quality of your Chanel, really appreciate the effort. One quick question, the issue you have run into here, would you say it is fairly indicative of MFH kits, or was it surprising to you that such a large issue would be present? I’d like to order one of their kits, but want to be sure I understand what I am up against. Thanks again!

I would say, or characterize MFH kits in general, as being not without faults. I feel that this is something everyone should know before getting into one of these, so they do not get frustrated or put off by the experience. Some kits are better (or worse) then others, but nothing that can't be fixed for the most part. To me the appeal is the challenge, for others this might be a deal breaker, and that's cool. My next project is going to be a Tamiya kit, I need a break! (currently working on another MFH kit) If you decide to give one a try, do a subject you are passionate about, I find this helps keep the motivation going. Also don't expect your first effort to be your masterpiece! Good luck on what ever you decide!
