Only expensive prosumer cameras (and above) have an satisfactory autofocus capability; however, this is a filmmakers´ issue: turn off autofocus, manually focus on a closeup of your work (or use camera magic), and turn it into a new shot. Also, to increase depth-of-field, use a _lot_ of light to allow the camera to stop down its diaphragm in its lens (if it even has one). Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes against ultraviolet!
