1972 Apache Yuma Camper Pt 3 

We had a 1972 Apache pop up when I was a kid. Ours had the burnt orange outside. We took that everywhere. I loved that thing. Good luck with it.

I love that you did the work on the Apache. I purchased a 73 about 2 months ago and took it this past Memorial weekend to lake Isabella In California and my kids & my wife had the best time ever. rained for a bit but we stayed and it was worth it stars at night and the next day was warm all day. but my wife says to me I will never ever sleep in a tent again. we love our Apache I've been online reading and watching videos and the more I learn about the trailer the lucky I feel that I chose an Apache as my first pop up. before we left the lake I had a guy ask me if I wanted to sell it , can't I just got it plus we love it. crazy part is I was born in 1977 . thanks for sharing your video.

we talk about camping but no lie, we like some of the comforts of home. this gives me the idea to do such an improvement. craigs list here we come! xoexo

Great to find this video as I just purchased a 1971 Apache Mesa in NC for $200 as well!. I like that you didn't feel the need to restore completely back to the original style. I really dig what you did with the curtains. Mine still have the original and they are dry rotted, needless to say, so I have to figure out just how you accomplished yours! Lots of work ahead, but wanted you to know that your hard works shines through and I find it inspiring!

cool camper i have a 74 royal and i found many apache parts at circle k rvs in lapeer mich live seals for the sides curtin tabs and many other parts

Wow what a big difference A little elbow grease does, great job!! I also have allergies and looking for a hard side camper, but in Oklahoma they are hard to find. Happy Camping ⛺️

Waow. That caravan, I like it. It became a real beauty after it was restored. I like that hardside/popup. One of those I would like to have, and pull behind my 50 yrs old car. Wondering if it is possible to find one of these here in europe?

I just replied to a guy on Craigslist who has one for $400. Hopefully it isn't sold and if it isn't I hope it's in decent shape.

Hi. I like what you guys did to the camper! Was curious, do you still have it for sale? After having it for about a year and a couple months (from what I can guess), what made you decide to sell it? Did you trade up for another/bigger camper? I'm thinking of getting into "the apache scene"...but if it ended up not being a great style of camper for you guys...maybe I'll reconsider and go with the canvas types. Yeah, $200 was a crazy good deal! I'm not sure these people knew exactly what they had. I found out these campers (especially in this good condition) are really rare.

The camper was sold a couple of weeks ago. Why we sold - we realized that at this time in our life, we probably weren't going to use it very much. Had I found this camper 5+ years ago, it would have been used a lot. I really liked everything about the camper but I didn't want it to just sit in my driveway and ruin. I enjoyed fixing up this camper so much that I am looking for another camper to restore - just as a hobby. I want a retro "canned ham" type camper. Not interested in canvas at all.
