Looks like this 72 Coronet has the easy order package, AC, Power steering, tinted glass, am radio with rear speaker, remote driver side view mirror, day night inside mirror, light package and vinyl roof.
Wow, that is a really nice car and it looks like all the panels still line up nicely. The driver's inner wheel well looks good and I've fixed worst looking front ends so it may fix up nicely and be a nice driver.
We used to assemble all 4 doors for the Coronet complete with glass, door locks and keys painted in primer for delivery to cab companies to replace ones that were wrecked.
The cab companies in my town used Coronets like this one, with the slant 6. I thought the /6, with those solid lifters, was a very noisy engine inside those cabs.
Too bad no title , good car i think , could be back on the road with $$ and work . However , parts car is fine in my book , better than the crusher ! Well done sir ! ❤
What a neat trick for that trunk lock. I bet a lot of people including myself didn't realize you could take the guts out and use any key. If you don't care about locking it that's a good idea
The system in Britain & Ireland is a little different that car can be legal be put back on the road. The title or as we call it “Logbook” can be easily applied for wether the vehicle has been written off or not. There’s a way around everything.
The stuff in the trunk honestly has me wondering if it ended up getting stolen and that's why there is no title Although why someone would steal a 1972 Dodge Coronet, I have no idea
Great intro and interesting trunk reveal and go through. I know you are just going to have the Dodge be a parts car, but I was just talking to my brother in law a week ago about how to get a title for a car that doesn't have one at least in Nevada so I don't know if it would work in North Carolina. He said that he got a title for the car, by giving it to a tow yard for about a month. There is a law that if they have the car for a certain amount of time they can get a mechanics lein title for the car. It might be an option to look into if not for this car, but maybe for a future purchase.
The coronet and satellite has an unusual cut line on the area at the top the rear doors In the 70 these were common as taxi cabs with a warning sticker to watch your hands Shame it got wrecked
I wouldn't part that car out, you could just swich the parts you want and put that car back up for sale. In some states, no title is not much of a hinderence. Some states dont require a title for a car over 15 years old. And people in the rust belt still would really appreciate that car.
You still need paperwork even in non title states. And in my state no title means you never get one. So it’s parts only. Plus you’d have to find another car to part out to fix this one.
You definitely have a knack for acquiring those cool old working man Mopars . I dig them too . My soft spot is for the early 50's working man Mopars . I own a 1950 Dodge Coronet . I call her "Emily " 230 L head ,fluid drive . She's been contributing to global climate change for 74'yrs. Greta would be proud . 🤣
@@ObsoleteAutomotive I'm guessing the U.S. process is different, but here in Canada I had a no title motorcycle and it really wasn't a big deal to get a new one. Also, unless the frame is damaged, the dents look pretty fixable
@@QuebecGamer20 My state it is pretty much impossible to get a title if you don’t have one. Other states are different but I need a lot of parts off this car for my others. So it worked out.
Problem is it has no title. It’s parts only in my state. Also I bought it to fix up my Coronet wagon so a lot of its parts will go on or be swapped with it.
