Damn dude you did a lot more than a swap! Good work! Whether you care or not you're improving & restoring it even if it's not a complete restoration or upgrade.

@@Mechanic_kid Looking forward to it! Love your videos. Sometimes I can tell when you're going to do something that's not ideal (imo) but you always pull through in the end usually with a even better solution than I was thinking of! I still have a lot to learn and experience myself as well especially when it comes to swaps I've watched a lot of them & have the gear to do one now but haven't purchased one, yet.

You call it a piece of junk. You literally can't find them in AZ, hell they are rare on the west coast in any condition.

Super hard to get an engine onto the bay and onto the box like that - you see people do it all the time in old auto V8s etc because its easier to get the torque convertor to seat than it is to get the spline into - glad you didn't spend too much time with the box on . Car looks like a worthy project - interested to see how the 18R-C fits in the shorter RA21 chassis.

good job for sticking with it. you definitely did it the hard way, you could have merely put a jack under the trans and jacked it back up into position as you had it just hanging there. the engine would have damn near just slid on.

Hands on learning is great, you can invent your own ways as long as you do things safely. Actually following online info has lead me astray lol but also helped me at the same time. Got a set of Flare crow foot wrenches a major piece I was missing in my toolset due to online info, downside was initially I ordered the wrong size because the online information told me the wrong size, so now I have a whole set instead. Watching now! Most likely just got driven off-road does not take much to grime up a car on even just a gravel road.

Start on the outside of the dead and work your way to the middle. Also the longer you burn the stud the harder it sticks to the metal

I love your videos keep up the good work buddy and it can be really hard sometimes to have no help and for someone to be around to kind of guide you with some of it but if you can't find it on RU-vid usually you can ask around and find out information on how to do something but you were doing an awesome job sometimes it does help to take pictures of the things you're about to take apart so you have a guide to put it back together with or just record yourself taking it apart that can help too either way you're doing a great job and I'm proud of you

Hey dude. I have a really cool way to get those dents out of the door, without even messing up the outside! (no holes or anything) Here's what you do... Remove the inside panel of the door. Then, put a medium sized deflated ball inside the door. (maybe a deflated soccer ball or volleyball) Lastly, you get an air pump and a needle and inflate the ball. The dent then pops out. It works every time! (If there are no metal cross beams inside the door where the dent is, you may have to improvise with a flat metal bar) ... I'M A HOME MECHANIC FROM WAY BACK. I know a lot of little hacks and shortcuts when working on cars. If you ever want to know anything, just hit me up in a D.M. ---------->>> And, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND EXCELLENT VIDEOS!

I would LOVE to know the history on this car. My mom had one 30 years ago. lol If you did any history on it if not, o well. Indiana car if it was my mom's was in my Dad's name. Doesn't narrow it down, but gives you info to see if it is even worth looking into further. :P

@@Mechanic_kid awesome either way, it was cool just seeing the videos, and recalling some memories! Great job on it. Most people could care less about cleaning and sorting the annoyances out. Usually it just takes some fiddling, or $1000's worth of tools lol. But always worth the leaning curve (hopefully)
