Please help us to continue transferring these rare 16mm film reels that cost us anywhere from $275 to $350 per reel depending on the size of the film reel. We use Yale Video and Transfer in Valencia, CA to transfer our footage. Ironically, Yale Video is that same company that shot this footage over 5-decades ago. With nearly 1000 16mm film reels in our collection from 1969 to 1973, it's imperative that we get as much financial help as possible to continue posting newly transferred content on the Tommy Hawkins RU-vid channel.

I got to know Greg Lee years later than this interview. I played against him the year before, I was a senior at USC his sophomore year at UCLA ... ironically years later Greg Lee and I played on the same team in a couple of rec leagues in the San Diego area ... we had a few beers after every game, I can assure you ... R.I.P. Greg Lee

Greg Lee was always one of my favorite players. Movie Star looks and he always look to make "The Pass". Wonderful Point guard RIP Greg Lee

Those are some legendary UCLA players for sure. Greg Lee was always a favorite of mine. But he did miss that 20 foot jumper against NC State in the Semi Final Game of 1974 late in the game. I thought he should have been more patient and look for Walton ( with No shot clock - Why Shoot it ? )@@brianarbenz7206

He grew up with a speech impediment and he still hadn't fully gotten past it, so he was generally not comfortable speaking to the press.

There was nothing revealing in any player's comments, particularly Bill Walton's: "I'm gonna try to play a little bit of basketball. It's basketball season." The uniforms and the court are so non-descript, no overdone logos. And our generation loved way out art, but we placed it on our walls, not our skin. This was vintage Wooden's UCLA - simple preparation not public relations.
