1973 Chevy C10 (350) TRUE DUAL EXHAUST w/ STRAIGHT PIPES!! GOOD OLD AMERICAN SOUND!! Comment below with your thoughts & comments! Subscribe for more awesome car content!
Sounds amazing the only two different things I would have done is run alittle bit smaller exhaust for alittle more noise and run the tailpipes all the way out the back
@realgrower 2 inch pipe is not too small for a 350 Chevy, my 65 has a dual 2 inch system with glass packs and it’s fine. Chevy from the factory has 2 inch pipes back then.
Theodore is right 2 inch is plenty fine. It be way different if it was single exhaust but look at like this little 4 cylinders they run 2 inch single. It’s no different than dual 2 inch on a v8. Only half the cylinders of flow are going threw each pipe. And not just that most came stock with it. Shit be honest on a stock 350 2 inch is prolly almost the best performance u get believe it or not. 2 inch dual is good for almost 300 horsepower 2.5 inch pipes are way over Kill for a stock 350 u actually loose power at that point. Even 2.5 inch duals is good for a vehicle around 500 horsepower which is a lot. Do more research before u call people idiots.
I've got a 78 k1500 running straight 3 inch pipes. Cut the the cats out and will increase performance and sounds a lot better. Good thing I'm running dual tanks. That gas gadge drops fast lol.
Damn son is that 2in you got on there that is my dream truck right there iv been looking for a classic truck that sounds like that for a long time sounds AMAZING !!☝️
The Federal Government didn't start implementing catalytic converters until 1975 on cars and I believe it was later in the late 70s as far as trucks. I had a '72 Ford LTD that came with a 400 big block that did not have catalytic converters and had the exhaust system replaced with true duel exhaust with glass packs. Miss that ride and the sound of the exhaust.
You could still get one without a Cat up to IIRC 1985 if you bought a 3/4 ton with a 8,600 GVWR.....'Heavy Duty Class Emissions'. Could even run 'Regular'!! (Leaded Fuel. Know this because I have an '83 C-20/8,600 gvwr & it (believe it or not!!) came with the owners manual!! Not common when you buy it Used?)
Wish Chevy and GM would make their newer 350 sound like this again. Reason why I put a old 70s 410 cin small block my 06 single cab 2500hd long wheel base that was a gas burner with the vortex 6.0 and man now I'm making 647 HP to rear wheels N/A no turbos superchargers or nitrous and it hauls the mail runs 8.7s all day on the 1/4 mile and thats me takkng it easy on it with a mild timing setup woth msd ignition as well. Nothing will compare to the old Chevy small block sound
You got to understand it probably has a worn out quadrajet carburator and it going to sound like that because it is a 350 gm goodwrench 290hp crate long block and there are different 350 Small blocks I'm the world
@@WielandBeneyDieselPowers not a crate long block and nowhere near 290 hp. He said it was the original engine. You apparently dont know what a crate engine is. Or what 290 hp sounds like. That raggedy engine has less than 200 hp.
@@Arctik505 'Original Engine' doesn't mean they haven't rebuilt it at some point,or that it's still 100% stock if they did. Only it's still the 'original' (numbers matching) block??
3.5 inch pipe and x piped like we do on the circle track asphalt racecars with 180 degree headers that are cross over they cross over the bell housing from left bank to right side it's for racing so your headers fit between the bars of the racecar but it gives it a unique sound and the pipes need to exit right under the door not all the way to back of vehicle. That's howine is set up on my 06 2500 HD long wheel base that use to be a 6.0 vortec now it's a old school 410 ci small block Chevy making tons of power and sounds like a asphalt or dirt superlatemodel
Sounds like shit. Sounds like a old truck with a blown out exhaust. This ole Chevy would sound a lot better if it had true duals with Cherry Bomb glasspacks or the old school Thrush glasspacks
