I love the cz's..need to see some big bore bultaco's!.. I woulda love to seen his face when he talked about the company that makes those fenders..I'm gonna have to check em out.
Falta almost won the world championship on a similar bike in 74 By then Robert was killing it on the indomitable RH factory Suzuki and CZ's days were numbered
Had a white 125 that sounded just like this. Even with half the displacement it was a ditch digger. I remember dumping the clutch on cement once also and the knobbie just smoked like it was an old Camaro.
cz were made in part of the former Soviet Union the behind iron curtain like east germany. excellent bikes metals high quality. remember Russian moiseev rode for ktm in 76
Have you ever gotten one if the CZ125s from the early to mid '90s go through there? Instead of looking like something made in the early '70s, like the rest of the CZ line, it was a totally modern bike. Water cooled, long travel inverted forks, single rear shock and disc brakes.
Cool. That was the first bike I ever got thrown off of. Was riding with my dad and was on the front of the seat, he didn't know how to ride very well and hit the front brake. I got my leg stuck in the front spokes and tossed to the ground hard. I was ok and he asked me to not tell Mom. Big LOL....
@@BC-tn5ss the first of many.. I think I was 5 when that happened. Got my first bike that year. A 1974 yz80.. thanks Dad...lol... Been riding ever since. I'm 41 now and ride an old yz490.
@@BC-tn5ss while we r talking, I'll tell u that I got my first cr500 when I was 12. I never raced a 250 or any other bike until 2003 when I had to race a yz450 supermoto. The 500s r the best bike in the world. Once u learn to handle that kind of power nothing else is exciting. Good luck on your yz, I bet that thing will rip when it's done.
@@BC-tn5ss man. We should talk more. I raced supermoto for lots of years on a husky te610 and yz450f. That yz will be a 450 killler on the street.... Way cool that ur doing that.. I can't wait to see it...
@@BC-tn5ss my parents had no regards for my safety man. No B's, I was flying single engine aircraft with my Grandma from 6 to 12, raced dirt bikes all my life, went from trail riding to Enduro, then motocross, supermoto, flat track, Hill climb ( dirt roads not big hills and extended rear ends.) I've built 13 cr500s and 1 yz490 . Grandma and Grandpa were both flight instructors, Grandpa was wwll fighter pilot turned flight instructor ( the guy used to scare the crap out of me when I took lesson's from him, loops and stalls ,spins and snap rolls.) my uncle raced flat track, speedway and supermoto. I think I may have had the best childhood ever for an adrenaline junkey.
@@BC-tn5ss that's awesome that u want to learn to fly. It's a blast . Have u ever thought about or talked to Dad about ultralights? I used to put together kits for a place called Leading edge air foils. Best thing about them is u don't need a license to fly. It's considered ( experimental aircraft) fly at your own risk.. for adrenaline junkeys who don't want to deal with the B's of getting a pilots license. I'm into old v8 muscle cars mostly, like 1930s and 40s rat rode and 60s/70s Detroit steel. , I won't race a car on the street anymore after a bad crash but I used to get a bit wild and street race people on my Buell. Props to your pops for raising u on adrenaline. Lol. He sounds like a great guy. I see u have a South Park logo.. ru by chance in Colorado?
Weren't the Russians running those way back when too, or were they riding the old KTMs? I remember seeing the Russian Team at my first Unadilla, but can't for the life of me remember if they rode those or the KTMs...
