found a 73" 450sl class convertible for under 10k with 50k miles on it. its gray and blue with blue benz caps on the rims but instead of convertible its look more like a huge sunroof, is that a good buy?
Has the car ever had a fully documentable "Air Conditioning Modification" performed on it in the last decade or so? That's a big deal on 107/116 models of that vintage.
It has not, no. You may be thinking of the later vacuum operated systems that were licensed from the Chrysler Corporation. Those benefit by being updated to a solid state system. Kits are available.
