Interesting video but the high energy presentation made it hard to glean the relevant data. I got that the conversion uses a small Tesla drive unit and about 12 Tesla Smart Car battery modules (I think) but I would have liked to know about the controller.

I've loved VW Things since I first saw one in the 80s. Amazing conversion.

This was not easy to get through; the guy has more than just a few screws loose, but it was worth it to see the car. “The Thing” is not a very structurally sound vehicle (read that as four-wheeled death trap if you hit anything bigger than a butterfly while driving it). Even so, this would be my daughter’s dream car and I’m sure she’d like it even more with the conversion to an EV.

Please do a build video on this type of conversion. Also, it would be great if you made this a kit like the other VW conversion kits (sans drive unit and batteries, but with all the other parts needed).

Spicer clearly watched too many Pee Wee Herman videos while on magic mushrooms. While he was still in elementary school. And he was the only kid in elementary who wore a Grateful Dead Tshirt because he had been to their concerts and listened to all their albums. First class conversion as always.
