That's the way to ruin a beautiful Norton Commando, take the dual carbs off and put a single Mikuni carb on it to diminish it's performance and take away that Norton growl. It's ready for the new owner to put the acceleration back in and get that grunt back.
I've owned two Mk111 Commando's, one with Amal's and the other with a Mikuni. Both systems have their advantages, but I would never ride without a helmet.
@@pdm2201 Only if you don't know what dual carbs on a Commando sounds like. After the single is installed some owners soon forget. Some owners who buy with the single already installed would never know what dual carbs should sound like. It is a big difference if you're experienced. Cutting mixture availability in half at certain rpm's has consequences.
