1976 Apache Ramada , First Time Opening in 6 Years

My nephew and I want to start doing some traveling and camping soon, so I decided to drag out my old 1976 Apache Ramada. This is the first time it has been opened since it was parked 6 years ago. I will be doing many updates to it before we go so stay tuned in and enjoy!

Wow that is a super cool camper. I’m not familiar with a pop-up camper and those hard walls like you have there, those are cool, very clever. I’m just familiar with the pop up campers and the canvas tent like sides that slide out where usually the beds are. That’s gonna be a whole Lotta fun demo ing and restoring that. I am jealous LOL. Thanks for taking the time of filming and sharing.

They are getting harder to find but plenty of them still out there.

Did you level the trailer first? It would make it a lot smoother to allow system to pop up evenly.

Good advice. I did level it first. Upon further inspection I found a bent cross beam that the lift linkage is rubbing on. I will video the repair and post an update if all this rain ever ends.

Can you contact me regarding my Apache. I have a couple questions. When you raised your top i see the walls came up as well?? I just bought mine 1977. It's not really raising at all other then one corner. But if we push it up i don't see the walls coming up at all?

Thanks, It's just a farm truck. We used to use it to haul hay but it hasn't been needed for any jobs lately. 1984 6.2 diesel 3/4 ton camper special. still runs and drives
