Continuing to tackle the rust on the 1976 F100 Build by installing a new door pillar panel. It took a little time but it was pretty easy to install. I have been very happy with all of the replacement sheet metal we have got from LMC Truck. This same install will work on all ford trucks from 1973-1979.

I just had a 1976 f150 4x4 shipped to my town today and right away i saw that someone had bondo'ed that bottom corner and its all messed up. I'm going to have to get that same patch panel put on mine too. I will be watching more of your videos.

@@DevanEnce thanks. I will once i get my 74f100 thats been stripped down for a little over a year done first. I dont have the time right now so i'm gonna have a shop do the body work and paint it for me.

Where do you buy your patch panels and when are you doing the bed sides can’t wait to see that cause I need to do that to my truck

THELAND SHARK all of these patch panels came from LMC. I have used them from National Parts Depot and been happy with those as well. Bedsides coming soon

On my f150, I got needed repairs on the other end of that sill plate. I got new cab corners and entire sill plate replacement. Do you have any information on that end of it? I currently doing a frame off on a 79 F150 Styleside Custom pickup.

I need to replace my door hinge plates behind the pillar ( they rusted so bad my almost fell off ) Should I cut the the pillar like you did and reach up and pull the old one out ?? Thanks

Couldn’t you just punch the holes in that part on the lower edge before you spot weld it into place? then Followup with spot weld using a Mig machine utilizing those punched holes to bring the bottom closer to the frame.
