Really nice. I'm likin’ what you've done in your engine bay. This is a good and informative video, El Profesor. Where were you when I had my MGB?

never use gasket seal only use high melting point grease this stops people over using gasket seal "dangerous to oil galleys" an also helps so you don't get gaskets sticking to the surface! otherwise cool video also 93 octane fuel you want slightly less than 18 btc, 15btc would be better as UK btc is worked out on a 100 octane rating

Thanks for the advice on high temp grease. That makes sense. Also, I appreciate the 15 BTDC advice.

@@MikeHammill-TheShop i would personal with a higher compression run high octane fuel anyway :) also they will use less fuel for better MPG

@billymechanic unfortunately 100 octane is not readily available in the states. So the best solution is to reduce the advance a bit. There is one gas station about 15 miles from me that sells leaded gas and racing gas. Fortunately, the 77 spitfire doesn't need leaded gas. I'll have to try the high octane sometime. Again, thanks for your input.

@@MikeHammill-TheShop so unless you've changed the valve seats you should be using an additive or 2 stroke oil at least which does increase octane anyway 👍 i.e higher the octane slower the burn of the fuel!

sorry miss read that your spit doesn't need leaded gas. should be ok with slight change on timing :)
