*SKYNET* was first advertised to the WORLD, in 1978 *as a tool for peace,* right after an O.J. Simpson Hertz commercial. *WHERE EVER YOU ARE......IF YOUR READING THIS COMMENT RIGHT NOW......THEN YOU ARE THE RESISTANCE!!!!!!*
Hertz damn near predicted the future. The way he was running and hurdling through that airport? And when they started showing all the verity of cars , I would have lost it if one of those cars was a white Ford Bronco.
Ron Goldman was not a lover he was a friend dropping of glasses. OJ was a jealous man and he did not give af. OJ deserved to get off because prosecution was absolutely horrible.
I remember watching this commercial when I was a kid. One of the first times I ever saw a young black man wearing a suit on tv. OJ was so sharp, so cool. Back then EVERYONE loved him! All ages, races. He was a massive superstar. Sad to see how things ended up… He was my childhood hero🫡 OJ Simpson 7/9/1947-4/11/2024 RIP
My late Mother loved this ad. I think that she had a little crush on OJ back then. I was pretty neutral about him until he was accused of murder. Both my Mother and I changed our minds about OJ in a hurry after the you-know-what hit the fan for him.
Put aside all the jokes, do you guys know how groundbreaking this commercial was during that time. No corporations were using black athletes to sell their products. OJ Simpson was able to break that glass ceiling. It opened up opportunities for Bo Jackson, MJ, LeBron James..etc.
I don't care what the media or those haters think about you OJ, you still won the game of life and at peace with your family in Las Vegas. Rest well Juice.
He certainly was not a saint, but after expierencing so much trauma from 20 some years of football, I believe that it took a substantial toll on his not simply his body, but also he sustained some brain damage that made him do some crazy things...however, he didn't kill anybody.
*Commercial narrator* : "OJ fled a crime scene in a car rented by Hertz - right OJ?" *OJ, enters car with blood spatter on face, out of breath* : "You know it!" *speeds away* Aaaaaand scene.
That really is the sort of thing that O.J. would have shot before he was busted again. www.thisamericanlife.org/radio-archives/episode/564/transcript details how OJ had a hidden camera prank show after he won his 1994 trial. Search the transcript for "white bronco." One of his "pranks" was that he tried to sell a white bronco. Not THE white bronco, just a white bronco which for some reason had a bullet hole in the side. OJ: "And I can guarantee you, the car has escape-ability. I mean, if you're ever getting into some trouble, and you've got to get away, it has escape-ability. A car that I personally made famous. It has escape-ability. That's the main thing. And I know it." So, you're not too far off there.
