1979 Can-Am 250 MX-5

These 1970s bikes are two stroke heaven just take a look how many fdirt bike brands were around in the 1970s and all of them looked great

My Can-Am MX-5 was the ugliest dirt bike I ever owned but, it was a badass bike. Mine had the fox air shocks.

I have 5 elan skidoo’s with rotax 250s , the piston and cylinder for the dirt bike and skidoo are identical

What rebuild was put on it I have same bike I want a rebuild

Yes this bike was underated and should have been praised for its design and i loved the colour it reminded me of a nice navel orange on a tree ready to be picked and the mud guards had their own style to it like the early looking red yellow and white model the back mud guards were so unique

The old school bikes of the 70s the vintage ktms and the swm,s loverly compared to the modern four stroke bikes and this can am is a beautifull navel orange picked off the tree in canada this kreation when it first came out is absolutely stunning when first seeing one of these on the dirt tracks of motocross and enduro these were two stroke heaven and it smelt good and every brand had is own smell to it like the bultaco persang had a nice odour to it and other bikes like tm suzuki,s and rm vintage and early honda elsinores had a rare looking carburetor on it and the smell to it was loverly and clean running two stroke fuel and not today it smell horrible the smell that comes out of the modern dirtbikes and the first time i saw one of these was a enduro model and a friend allowed me to take it for a ride and these can ams were beautifull when the throttle was turned it was a great feeling the orange can ams

I didn,t mean the old school ktms but these orange can ams are better looking than a orange modern four stroke ktm
