Can am bikes were fast and powerful wish they still made bikes they should be

I raced a can am mx250 back in 1980 & 81. I loved this bike and it did well enough to get a bike & parts ride the next season. Damn I miss that bike

Nice bike. I wish that Can-Am would mount a comeback and compete in Supercross similar to what KTM did 15 years ago. On a different note and specific to the bike in the video, by 1978 the Japanese were manufacturing 250’s that were rockets right out of the crate and very very reliable. I had a CR250 and CR125 that you could not kill if you tried. Great memories!

Always liked the V-bar on the Can Ams and the rotary valve motor.....a bit wider but didn't have to screw around with reeds......dunno if this had rotary valve intake.

Very nice videos about some super awesome vintage bikes. I used to have a 1974 Yamaha Mx250. First version with the mono cross and expansion pipe. Been looking for footage for them,but haven't had luck. If you come across one, a video would be awesome.

Had one got it to 83mph on highway very powerful engine but it was a tank to ride they still use then for ice racing on lakes up here
