So many memories with both those crews. USA roller rink/ dance club was one of the dopest experiences of my life. It's where I met Dynamic Rockers and became life long friends with. That was the cool thing about battling, you always became friends after.
I usto go to USA Roller Rink, i still remember watching The New Edition perform, before they became famous. I am from Syria and I miss the times of my childhood, when my country was fine. When I watch break dance, I remember my father who was good at it. I hope to learn this art as soon as possible😝
you prolly dont give a shit but if you guys are bored like me atm you can stream all the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been watching with my brother for the last few days xD
This needs to be shared on more platforms . I think there has always been a misrepresentation on Break Dancing/Breakin =as a group of people/gang who broke rules or "the bad guys".This has been Best content I've seen really explaining the background which is what needs to be heard. These guys were not trying to divide each other as the world/religion/politics etc are doing to us Now... I'm 38 born in '84 from in Southern Cali East LA lived in San Fernando Valley raised in gang violence thru 7years and raised in Erie,PA lived there for 20 years going back and forth to the Valley & Now have a big fam and live downsouth in North Carolina. Im chicano born to both Mexican parents from Durango y La Capitad de Mexico Dist.Federal. I first saw Breakin in Michael Jackson videos or on TV and would often imitate the moves.Crazy I can go on forever as my children who are grown now in late teens thru their early years like 4-5 I put them in a dance show and won the freestyle breakin/dance battle. I live for Breakin man I'm 38 this is THERAPY from my psychological issues I had growing up. This is Powerful!!! Imagine how many of our relatives /friends would be alive if they were Break dancers instead of the real thuggish gangsters that we often try to imitate. I didn't have to imitate the gang life because we grew into that shxt as Chicano in Southern Cali but Mom's moved us to East coast . I'm truly Blessed to be alive and talk about Breakin and feel like I contributed to this in a way being Latino and showing my peers about this culture of pre rap battle dancing . I'm telling you I was youtube before youtube I damn near lost all my content due to moving but I had videos to back it up. Nothing to prove still have some in the treasure box. I can go on forever and my stories are History lessons.. Moral of the story lol _ BREAK DANCING IS UNITY _ WE ARE ONLY 1 RACE CALLED HUMANITY !! GOD BLESS TO ALL
Love your comment, & believe the same, i was in a few breakdancing groups, in the 80s, i am 55, & can still do many of my old moves , that i did in the past, breaking was my way out / off the streets. I grew up in the projects, in the lower east side, of NYC Manhattan, in the 60s, 70s, & mid 80s. It probably did save my life, & many more of my friends, so i do agree. It was a lot of fun, i did a couple of bit extra parts in a couple of breakdancing movies, like krush groove, Breaking NYC Style & a couple more. My brother, who passed in 1998, danced with Michael Jackson’s, two times, once in the BAD video, & the other during his, Michael Jackson, birthday party that was held in the mid 1980s, in the museum of natural history, in Manhattan NYC. God bless you and your family, & thank you for your comment.
I'm showing these crew because that's how I learnt from the best by whatchin them on tv it's how I learnt my moves I'm 53years old now but when I see them and hear the beats from the,80s I wanna get down memories are a gift for life
Some of their moves were literally insane. Some looked like they might have been inspired by circus acts. But what’s so insane about breaking is none of this young men and women ever had any formal dance or gymnastics training they just mastered these incredibly insane moves and tricks on their own.
"Dynamic rockers....oooooh....let me tell you about them biters....I used to go over there and break against them and takem all out ...theys we're beginners. "
I remember when this was briefly a thing. The adults in my overwhelmingly white rural world were divided. Some were like "YES! That's just what those kids need! THAT will fix all this "inner city" violence and crime!" Others were freaking out about it like "This is DANGOEROUS! Kids are giving themselves BRAIN INJURIES! And I hear one boy BROKE HIS NECK trying to do this and now he PARALYZED FOR LIFE!!! We HAVE TO STOP THIS!!!" 😱
