What an amazing Era we live in! I was 12 in 1980, and I loved the commercials and music from that whole decade. I just realized how many of my dance moves come from that influence. I still bust them out on the floor, and I've had stitches in my chin twice from occasional mishaps. 🤠💥

Thank you so much for this awesome compilation! I've been searching for the Naples Chiropractic video for literally years, and had begun to doubt that it even existed.

Classic upload. The younger generation today have no idea how giant the bboy scene was when it arrived, it was everywhere, I mean everywhere. Bboying exploded in the 80's, & then went back to being underground & upped the levels. Then, slowly started rising again around 93 onwards to what it is now. Today's trends are 5 minute TikTok ones, they don't have global cultures like bboying. In my opinion, & the only thing I could say about bboying is this! The moves are far better today, some incredible stuff but, the scene doesn't have the raw atmosphere like we had & it's hard to describe.

@afflulifestyle1784 - times when we actually wanted to watch the commercials - thanks

@@andyegan1 Very true, but the UK had virtually zero adverts on Bboying, you might have caught a clip of Rock Steady until Breakdance "Breakin" the movie & Beat Street came out, & then you got a few Hip Hop documentaries like Hip Hop History & then Wildstyle. All I know is that it was such an incredible era.

@@afflulifestyle1784 - any commercials were better to watch then. I put the Weetabix ad on (being from the UK) but yeah not much really in the way of ads. Open Space Bad Meaning Good, Bombin', Electro Rock, Watching Your Name Go By too in the way of film docs
@afflulifestyle1784
@afflulifestyle1784 Месяц назад
@@andyegan1 Yeah, those docs were a real insight into the UK scene way back then, I've still got them recorded on VHS. I've still also got the original screening of Wildstyle on VHS from the 80's, when it was shown on channel 4. It is a different version as the scene with Grandmaster Flash cutting up the decks & switching to Bob James - Take Me To The Mardi Gras, has been replaced in all released versions of the movie with a completely different mix. The original Wildstyle movie with that version is rare now.
