This man was the link from Jack Dempsey to Duran. Duran is arguabley the greatest fighter if all time. Even Floys ranks Duran #2 all time behind himself. Duran was pure fighter. Where as Sugar Robinson had all the abilities and performances of the GOAT, he killed man in the ring and never liked boxing. Duran put a man in a coma and said "Next time I will be in shape and he goes to the morgue" Duran was ruthless and savage and no one was more brutal. Ray Arcel was the genius who trained the bludgeoning savant.
For any idiot who doesn't know anything--Here's one of the greatest trainers in history who wasn't a pro nor to my knowledge amateur, comparing Roberto Duran to the legendary Joe Louis. He says how character and mentality influences styles and all his fighters had extremely thorough skillsets.
