You speak truth. Renault entirely ignored 'main dealer support' in the USA. They simply loaded them on ships and sent them. Very naughty. As a Brit who lives only 27 miles away from France, I can confirm that the situation was the same here. Extortionate prices for repairs and maintenance and a gangster attitude towards their client base. That attitude was initially profitable but eventually bit them in the posterior. PS: I am now restoring a 1973 Renault Estafette van. Parts are plentiful and prices are low. Renault made a BIG mistake in America
