I just picked up this same bike. 1980 GS550E with only 2000 miles on it. It’s gotta be one of the lowest mileage, 44 year old, GS550’s in the country. Can’t wait to get her back on the road.

I bought a black one that was crashed for $900 (it was 1 year old) I straightened the fork tubes, shaved the seat, put a 4 into 1 Kerker on it, and short shocks

Oh man I had one! '79 GS550E and in yellow. Kinda regret selling it but it needed a helluva lot of work.
