And here we are 40 years down the road.......talk about lowering the bar....Wow! I can understand every word Mr. Carter speaks!! And Mr. Reagan as well!!!! Is this what it used to be like? Candidates with actual knowledge and something to say???
Right? They actual know what their plans are for all of the issues and can articulate their plans clearly for anyone to understand. I would have voted for either of them.

Not really if you see what Jimmy Carter looks like today but Biden has aged much worse than Carter in the 80 years😂 I highly doubt he’ll make it to Carters age
Its amazing to see how low the bar has been dropped these days with regards to professionalism and gentlemanship, it is refreshing to watch this debate and see two candidates explain their arguments in numbers and detail and not act like children in a mud fight.
I was in the military during the Carter administration. In my opinion, President Carter was very honest, decent man, but I have to say that his presidency by-and-large was ineffective.
If you could go into more detail I would be interested. I like to learn about presidents and how the average citizen remembers them as history tends to tell its own story from time to time. In what ways did he seem ineffectual? Thanks for the time.

It's a shame that our leaders debate about abortion polical gain we haven't had a president since Regan we are going to loose our rights if we don't have a president to save the country
Carter was not good (history proves it) holy cow, the dems at least made sense then. To the debate at least the moderators were sane. Yikes Walters - boy she annoyed me then. I'd listed to Barbara Wawa instead. Wawa was so funny, old-school people know.
@@jonathantorres4085 me too. Alzheimers is an unforgiving disease. But i think trump is pretty good. Watch the way he talks next time he has a rally. If he shows signs of it, then maybe its not a good idea. Hopefully not.
I really do wonder if Trump would’ve been elected president in the first place had Carter got reelected imagine no Reagan possibly no bushes and what does that mean for Trump

I am not old enough to evaluate his effectiveness as a US president, but a lot of people kept saying “Carter was ineffective” “ worst President” etc. What specifically did he or did he not do? I’m just curious and want to learn. Thanks
