The OG ERS actually works a treat. It really is quite responsive and you can feel it compressing and releasing when you're walking. The action starts at about 50 seconds into the video. 😂👍
It's funny how the "old" technology is still comparable or even better with respect to cushioning than the newer Reebok sneaks. Big difference is back in the 80s and 90s, they had attention to detail and performance. Whilst now, most of the retros are just produced as a novelty. Great video!
Hey buddy. Sorry I missed you comment. Not sure how that happened. I'm pretty much done with Reebok until they put back the original technology in the shoes. I'll buy older models, but I'm not buying new releases.🙌
sometimes the cushioning is dummy on the retros , for instance the hexalite cushioning is now just a small thin piece of honeycomb plastic inserted in the heel

If they remade the OG's with the proper ERS and the quality as they once did there's no amount that they could ask for and I'd be willing to pay to get a pair.

India will be huge in future, that's just a step away and the infrastructure there is constantly improving. I think China is finished, the CCP will be done and dusted within a year or two - then the Chinese can rebuild. But they'll be doing it without manufacturing as it will take years to rebuild confidence there. I was just saying to my dad today : Everything I buy comes from Amazon, so yeah I try to avoid Chinese traders where I can (apart from a few good ones I know personally) ... But my internet, my phone, half my equipment and the supplier for my gas are all Chinese. It's going to be really tricky negotiating a way to avoid them completely, but it has to be done. Most of my USB and DIN cables are Chinese. Taiwan and India will benefit from this, China's Government dropped the ball so hard it popped :( @@TheRetroManRandySavage

Gotta say, I'm pretty jelly that you had these bitd. I was blessed to have had many of the top kicks as a kid, but I never had the 180. I remember turning up for school one morning and there was a huge crowd around this older kid. He'd turned up in the 180 and we were gobsmacked that you could see the air unit under the shoe. I think you might be on to something there, I think Nike or Reebok Should give you a job as head of Retro development, It's sick that The price of the shoes has gone app but the quality has gone down As they replace Classic parts with fake ones, You need to start up your own brand, I would definitely buy a pair of Retro Savages
Interesting experiment! I have quite a few pairs of the 2014 and at least three of them have had some kind of inner sole deterioration. Still a thousand times better than this latest batch of replica shoes they are pedaling. ;)
I was after a pair of them in a size 10 and someone else pulled the trigger 🤔 LOL 😂 Great pair was going to get some and then the tumble drier broke and the washing machine went the next day so guess where my Pump money is going 🤣 If I ever get a pair they can be my new house slippers LOL
