1982-D Penny Worth Money - How Much Is It Worth and Why?

That coin specimen shown is the 1982D large date. You can differentiate between the 1982 large date vs small date. The small 1982, its 2 is a bit rounded before going down to its corner while in the large date the 2 is sharp straight down its corner, and ut should weight 3.08 to 3.11. Good luck guys.

I finally decided to restore my old tool chest that I got back in 1990. It was damaged by a drywall ceiling falling on it during a house fire in 2009. Found some change, hidden under the bottom drawer, which was awkward to remove. Found a 1982 D and got excited!🤑 Came here because I forgot what to look for. 🤔Nope, large date.😒

I got a 1982 D. Whole reasoned I saved it was because it looked like a penny that was printed on a dime with silver (zinc?) shining through the copper that was fading. The fading also makes Lincoln's head look more like a skull.
