I think I just found one. A 1982 D with a really well defined "2" with a thin bottom on the "2" and the little crevice where the bottom line and upward sloping line join together is also well defined.

Finally video on 1982 minted all 7 different and of course great discovery and congrats to the finder

I have in my hand right now a 1982 D small date penny that weighs 3.1 grams and is in excellent condition. It looks identical to the one in Kens picture and the weight is dead on 3.1 grams on my digital jewelers scales. I'm going to take it tomorrow and have it checked out. Keep your fingers crossed as there might be another about to pop up, but in far better condition. Thank you for sharing this video.

I recently searched all the pennies that I've saved over the years and found a total of 13 1982d small date copper 3.1gram penny. Most of them are in very well condition.

I am an avid coin collector and sports cards and memorabilia collector. I have found many varieties of errors on the State Quarters and Territorial Quarters, however, unless i can plainly see them, I have problems finding what might be some errors that I have missed, therefore, i intend to buy the microscope that links up to my laptop, because, I have some really cool errors, that I have yet to see mentioned on any ot the collector sites. I have even found cuds on eagle and bicentenial quarters. Since I love collecting coins so much, because of what you guys do on you tube, I have decided to start a coin collecting club. Thanks so much for your valuable information and coin examples that you have shown me, you make collecting so exciting. You see, not too many people I know collect coins. Therefore, I now have sources, my friends, who are always willing to exchange coins with me for face value. Or, they just give them to me outright. Yes, I have some great friends. Please keep your valuable videos coming. Thanks Again!...By the way, I don't subscribe to any of the sites, not because i don't want to, but because I have gotten burned by people who I have given my credentials in the past, and such has cost me dearly.

Another example: 1982 Large date appears that the 8 is lower than the 1. Small date: 1 appears to be longer than 8.

why does he not mention the different number 8's on the coins? this would seem a good way to also note the difference.

Hi Dusting hope your well, I discovered today I've got 6 coins from 82 that all weigh 3.1, only 1 with d and 5 without, cant be 100% if they are large or small date, at a guess, I think the D is a small date & possibly 2 with no mint mark, was wondering if the large date has any value? think i need better magnifier to be 100%, please give me your thoughts or advice, much appreciated, and big upz

love the videos you are putting out I'm a beginner coin collector last year I just started to weigh them to see what was the difference as some pennies weighed 2.5 grams and 3.1 grams in the 1982 category as I have at least two or three of the 1982 3.1 grams not sure that they'll be worth that kind of money but I will be video it and sending it to you somehow see what you think once again love you videos

You should note the spacing between the right side of the 2 and the rim. There is a big difference between the two examples shown.

Just went through all my 1982-D Lincoln Heads.... found 6 that weigh 3.1 grams. Now to figure out if its small or large date.... wish i could share photos to gain some insight!

I need a better scale but I may have one of these. I have two different 82 D cents that weigh in at 3grams, and I believe I have one of each type of date, Large/small. I am new at this (like started watching your videos yesterday) but I think I can distinguish the difference between the two date types when side by side. I'm going to get a better scale amd magnifying device to be sure though.

well I got the scale, properly weighed the 1982D small date, but in my excitement I failed to remember the D mint mark, instead, they have no mint mark. Well back to the hunt, but I will be more watchful from now forward. :)

I HAVE A 1982-D, COPPER BRONZE PENNY THAT WEIGHS IN AT 3.1 GRAMS, WHERE THE NUMBER 2 IN THE DATE, 1982 IS DOUBLED DIE. IT TURNS OUT THE VERY CORNER WHERE THE NUMBER TWO IS SUPPOSED TO CURVE OUTWARD ISN'T VERY CLEAR BECAUSE IT IS DD. THE FIRST IMPRESSION SEEMS A LITTLE FLAT, YET THE SECOND IMPRESSION OF THE NUMBER TWO IS INCOMPLETE DUE TO IT BEING THE SECOND STRIKE. IT DOES APPEAR TO BE HEADED TOWARD CURVING OUTWARD, YET BEFORE IT DOES CURVE OUTWARD ENTIRELY, IT'S CUT OFF; THUS CAUSING FOR THE VERY CORNER THAT SHOULD BE CURVED TO BE INCOMPLETE. IF THE SECOND NUMBER TWO THAT WAS STRUCK ON TOP OF THE FIRST NUMBER TWO WERE TO FOLLOW THE NATURAL PROGRESSION OF THE FIRST NUMBER TWO IT WAS STUCK UPON, YOU WOULD CLEARLY SEE THAT IT WOULD IN FACT CURVE OUTWARD. *I have two 1982 d small date pennies....the 2 is more curvier at the top, the 2 has a* *forward mound towards the bottom, instead of a slanded drop, the top of the 8 is smaller* *than the bottom portion, and the tip of the 9 seems a little longer than the big date 1982 d* *pennies. I982 is written in smaller numbers on two 1982 d pennies that i have compared* *to bigger numbers on the 12 big date 1982 d pennies.
