I am editing all these videos by watching the full matches, so these highlights are completely unique and self-crafted. 🙂 Many thanks for your support and please keep watching our channel for upcoming contents of the golden era of world football history. ⚽️
Thank You, Although I'm dutch, I've been an admirer of those crazy Yugos...WHAT BALL ARTISTS! The game against Spain with Vujovic on the leftwing...what a player.....and there were so many Dzajic, Sekularic, Slivo,etc... who I can watch all day......I really miss the Yugoslavian teams of yesteryear ,what talent......Those talented type of players you don't see coming from that part of Europe any longer...Don't understand it that eversince the break up of Yugoslavia the talent sort of diminished....
Mate so you stop looking or you cant make the difference between now and then with players such Boban, Bokšič, Prosinečki, Vidić, Matič, Pjanich, Džeko, and Ballon d'Or winner Modrich.
@@stefanraspudic2199 there are so few are between as far as stars from that area formerly known as Yugoslavia. They are not reprented well in the CL. OK, Modric, yes he a good player, but that is about it. If he represents the best ,sorry I'm not impressed. I'm a little older than you are and Modric is a good midfielder, but that's about it. Sorry but i've seen better...
Indeed, Referee 2: Yugoslavia 1. This was perhaps one of the best Yugoslavian team of all times and who knows what could have been had they not been so unfairly handicapped! Thank you, Pelerincha for this blast from the past. I was 10 years old and crying for days after this debacle! Hej Sloveniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
I am still convinced today; Had Yugoslavia passed through that stage we would have seen them in the final. The best example is Italy at the same competition.
They did everything up to the penalty area but after that they wanted to walk the ball into the net. Like the Soviet Union several star players failed to perform, and Zlatko Vujovic their sole regular goal scorer in qualifying had an awful World Cup. Eric Batty the World Soccer journalist said before the tournament, ' I expect the Yugoslavs to produce a lot of good quality football in Spain but they are short of natural goal-scorers and I cannot see them penetrating the best defences regularly enough to even reach the final.'
@@Ruda-n4h I have to somewhat disagree with that opinion. As a matter of fact there were a couple of "killers" on that team like: Halihodzic (Nantes), Sestic (Red Star), Susic (PSG). Something that happaned (or better terms did not happen) during pre-World Cup made that team fail. Namely they played no prep-games for that world cup. They spent lot of time in the camp under very hot temperature, away from families and on top of it all; they had major dispute with Football Federation about their private sponsoring contracts. So the atmosphere was no really great. Player- and quality-wise we had all we needed, but disturbed human relationships.
It's not *"Priča o svjetskom kupu u Jugoslaviji iz 1982",* it's more about *"Priča o Jugoslaviji na Svjetskom prvenstvu iz 1982."* (1982 World Cup Story...)
Something interesting happened that year what nailed bad YU performance that year. In Spain in 1982, there was a famous affair with football footwear. The famous football footwear affair was again a problem for the FSJ. The players signed contracts with Puma and received 20,000 marks each. Before leaving for Spain, the president of the FSJ, Tomas Tomasevic, came and said that we had to play with Adidas football footwear, whose jerseys they wore. Adidas had much better football footwear, they mostly played in them for clubs, they were a space shuttle for Puma, but they didn't pay. The Puma paid well, for 20,000 marks, a car could be bought, and it is normal that the players wanted money, and since they would get it in Spain, they would not pay taxes again. The FSJ did not give. Rest is History. Crisis prologue with disasters play in 1984 in France and not qualifying for Mexico 1986 and Euro in Germany 1988.
4:50 & 5:01, 5:05 ,The referee is ashamed of the penalty was not, and the goalkeeper defended and again the judge bastard repeats the end of the century .....
One of the biggest shames of Spanish football, and one of the biggest thefts in football ever. The referee calls a penalty against Yugoslavia outside the penalty area. And it doesn't end there... the Spanish player misses the penalty and the referee asks for it to be repeated. at that time, the western countries did not allow the prosperity of the Balkans and the Serbs. Everything is politics. There is no sport
Video in 12:59 says "Yugoslavia goes into the tournament as one of the FAVOURITES" - ha haha - Yugoslavia was never a favourite od the world cop tournaments. Favourites are always known - Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Nederland, Italy
You don't know anything about football. Yugoslavia was first stolen against Spain. The penalty was not for Spain. And in 1990, she was fifth in the world. They lost the quarterfinals against Argentina on penalties with ten A player. And what would have happened in Sweden in 1992? Yugoslavia was then the favorite with players like Stojković, Prosinecki, Boban, Mijatović, Suker, Savicevic, Bilic, Zahovic, Jarni, Petković, Salihamidzic. And many others would have ruled world football in the 1990s. You have no idea about Yugoslav football. ..and in general ....
@@disciplinakicme9338 I know pretty much about footbal, especially yugoslav, but you know very less about truth. Yugoslavia was stolen against spain, but there are always some human mistakes, judges mistakes. It was time without VAR. In the 1990 was fifth but it could be better that coach Osim didn't prefere his bosnian players and put aside croatian which was his habit. In 1992 was war in Croatia and wasn't time for any more 'yugoslav' football. Croatians prove their quality on the world cups, and "favourite" yougoslavia didn't - end of story.
@@marios8120 The Balkans have always had great players and Yugoslavia was the best in almost all sports. Basketball first, Water polo first, Handball first, Volleyball first, Red Star football European champion, and national team, has always been in the top five. Denmark won the 1992 Euro and Yugoslavia knocked them out. So fool, first learn and talk. And the Balkans is space for you ....
