What a game by Kenny Johnson!

I remember watching the OT of this game as part of “bonus coverage” as they call it today. I can’t remember if I brushed my teeth or not two hours ago, but I remember the game where Kenny Johnson had 2 pick sixes to beat the Pack.

Would anyone believe I remember watching this game on my 10" tv when i was 6?

The announcers made an error on the play at 04:23 where Moroski threw a dump-off pass to Billy "White Shoes" Johnson mistakenly identifying him as William Andrews.

The 83 Pack blew several huge leads that season, just a wild rollercoaster high scoring team but ended up just 8-8 * out of the playoffs

Dickey was a gifted passer prone to bad decisions. This game was his career in microcosm.

The Good Ol Days in the green grass of Atlanta Fulton County Stadium. When you sat down to watch them on Sundays then, you just expected the Falcons to win. In 1981, Green Bay held a double-digit lead at half time and the Leeman Bennett Falcons came back in the second half, and really laid it on the Packers, 35-17, I think. Falcons lost their blitzing linebacker, Joel Williams in that game. Bennett was canned, Glanville gone - and the team never had another winning season in the 1980's.

Folks remember just how good Andrews was? He could do it all.

Packers D was so terrible that year even a career clipboard holder like Moroski could have a day where he looked like Dan Fouts.

The 1983 Packers were a schizophrenic team ranking near the top in offense and bottom in defense. They were like the San Diego Chargers teams of Don Coryell. Whatever their magnificent high scoring offenses would earn, their dreadful defenses would give away.
