I strip and clean the carb on the 1983 Honda Express II NC50 as it cuts out when it's warm. The auto choke was sticking and make an airfilter.

Mate, I've been working on diesel vans since I was 15 but never bothered with anything petrol until I was given this Honda. I had to Google "what is a carburettor?" yesterday and today, thanks to your video I have fixed this old bike! Thank you very much for the information!

Good job. I like the music towards the end of the video. Very calming.I have a 1982 NC50 Honda Express that I found in the trash. I plan to refurbish the whole bike.

I have a 79 express2 and I just got finished completely cleaning the carburetor, the issue is that it stars but won’t rev up. I know that every passage is clean and clear, do you think I should visit the points ignition system? Give me a shout if it’s a good idea cheers from the states.

No not yet, it’s tax and mot exempt in December so it only needs one

My '82 express is dying when is warm (after about 5 mins) is there anything else apart carb what can cause it? Those bikes have auto chock or manual?

I have heard the auto choke is a common issue. Mine is a 1983 and has auto choke and still is a nightmare to get going when weather is really cold so I think mine is not working at all. But better to have it not work than stick on. Yours sounds like it’s stuck on, I believe you can disconnect a breather pipe that feeds the choke to the carb.
