1984 CFB - #19 WVU vs #4 Boston College 

I was there. End zone seats and Loudest crowd I've ever experienced. Most fun I've ever had at a WV game.

Thank you for that! I remember it well and still think it might have been the finest football game I've ever seen in person. To be young, in love and a Mountaineer fan..it did not get any better than that fall night in 1984.

Was there for this game. I remember it well. And one more thing, Flutie NEVER beat WVU. Period

I was a Freshman at WVU and was at this game. Wow, what a great game this was.

I had the privilege to attending this game. We could not get tickets through WVU. My sister-in-law’s uncle was a Boston College grad and we were able to get tickets through him. We set in the Boston College section. SOME of the Boston College people were ignorant and complete jerks but most were cordial. It was one of the best college football games I have ever seen.

1:03:00 I remember being able to hear that chant clearly and distinctly from my house 4 miles away! I was nine years old.

I was at this game with my girlfriend and now my wife!

Damn shame they didn't show more Mountaineer defense the second half. Those guys were playing out of their minds, won the game for us.

I was there and what a great day the weather was warm and the game was hot for sacks!

Was there. We never sat down. Cheering on our feet all game. Flutie never beat West Virginia. He hates WVU to this day. Lol. Willie 'D'..."he definitely do".

Umm... Hate to break this to you but, Flutie's record against WVU?? 0-4!! The first one he was just a back up, but as a starter how did Flutie fare against WVU??? In 1982, Flutie: 9-for-33 for 122 yards, 4 interceptions and zero touchdowns against the Mountaineers. Final score: WVU 20, BC 13... In 1983, Flutie 23 -51 for 418 yards, three interceptions and one touchdown. Flutie lost 27-7. In 1984, 21-for-42, 299 yards, 0 INT, 1 TD. The final score: 21-20 WVU. Sorry

oh i know he didnt fair well against them, this game was terrible though because bc had only 3 downs one drive the officiatin was horrible
