This S10 brings back childhood memories. My mother had a fire red 1989 S10. Man I used to love riding in that thing. Never had any problems with it either.
I love how all the old Chevy commercials (and training videos) make a big deal about manual hubs. Yes, I get it's easier. But if you are planning on driving in mud or show, lock the hubs before you even start driving.
That 1st edition 4.3ltr was a beast also! I had a silver one, then sold it to a friend in the 90's & he rolled it in a curve, became paralyzed, sued GM won a huge settlement & died just before he got it. I have a beautiful 2002 Blazer ZR2 now..
Back when Chevy and Ford competed to make better products to attract more customers instead of conspiring to sell us junk made with foreign parts and planned obsolescence.
I like how they lied about the Cherokee at 7:10. The automatic was the AW4 which did in fact have over drive, or it had the 5 speed manual transmission. Why lie?
I had a 1985 S10 with the V6 and a 5-speed. It was the worst car I've ever owned. Paint peeling right after delivery. Odd exhaust noise when you started it (sounded like it had no muffler). Electronic issues. Smoke coming from the dash....and on and on. I had it 2 years....2 years too long.
