If you’re a big Kawasaki fan like I am, you already know how hard it is to find a clean vintage KX 500 bike like this one. In my entire time of racing vintage bikes, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a 1982-1986 KX500 on track. This KX500 was fully restored by a friend of mine, Brian. Brian spent alot of time searching for oem parts and it was well worth it.
Being that my first bike was a 1982 Kawasaki KX 80, I have a soft spot for vintage KX builds of that era. I keep this bike in the collection and do not ride it. I am already racing a 1986 CR 500 in the D1 class which is front disc only for racing 1984-1986 open class.
