This truck could still be going dependably long after new, modern, computer controlled trucks are in the junkyard. This is an example of a simple, strong truck that GM will not build now.
Sharp rig. I’m about 20 minutes from Greenwood on the Oklahoma side. My college roommate is from there. Don’t know what it is but I’ve found a ton of square parts there lol.
I’ve had several squarebodies in the past. My first was an 85 3/4 ton on 37s and then I had a 86 3/4 ton on 35s. I got rid of them and after a couple years I decided to get a new one. I bought a 87 k10 LWB in January and I found your truck on custom offsets. I pretty much based my build off yours cause it was the only I could find I liked. I didn’t wanna go 12 wides so I did 15x10s. I also don’t like the rake that the rough country lift came with so instead of full springs in the rear I bought 3 inch blocks separate. It leans a little more than I would prefer but it has a mean stance. I also went with wheel spacers in the rear. But anyways, it’s awesome I found your truck on here. And I love it man. Lol I’m also running different tires. I didn’t wanna copy yours out right lol.
Love your Truck bro! Keep her running. Bought to do some much needed drive line work on mine, brakes and bushings, that sort of thing. Hope to see your truck in more videos!
VERY NICE TRUCK, I JUST GOT A 84 4X4 465-4 SPEED FROM MONTANA. NICE BODY, BUT IT'S THAT BROWN COLOR WITH WHITE ON THE BOTTOM. I WISH MINE LOOKED THAT GOOD.
Good looking truck. Everytime I lift these I always get these wedge speakers for the rear axle to fix pinion angle so it’s pointing straight towards the transfer case..... that’s just me bc I always tow and stuff
I have a K20 and was thinking of putting on the same Rough Country 4" lift with 35's. But first I want to know if I can still get it in the garage. What is the height clearance for your truck with this lift and the 35's you got on her? I could really use your help, thanks. Does she fit in your garage? My garage has a 7 foot clearance (6 ft 10 inches to be more precise).
Thanks! I payed around 4k for mine in February of this year which was a pretty decent deal. The value of these is going up pretty significantly so I would guess mine now would go for around 5500-6000.
I have exactly the same lift but I also have a 3in body. Do you think I could run 37s I originally was going to get the TSl bogges 35x14.50r15 but idk now. I don’t want my tires to look to small on the truck I’m also running Mickey Thompson 15x12. I want to stick to a TSl tire ik they have some 36s available.
You have a 4 inch lift? I’m deciding weather to get a 6 inch lift or a 4 with 37’s or 35’s but I want this look in the video, does your truck look this tall or do you think this inch in the video is more of a 6 inch ?
@@daddysavage3059 I went with a 4in rough country all leaf spring lift and kept my 3in body I got 35x16r15 tsl boggers and it looks perfect mine is a lil tallier then yours but not by much
no spacers up front just a 1.5 inch spacers in the rears to flush up the track width. You really actually would need a 2 inch spacer but 1.5 is sufficient. hope that helps!
i had a 76 chevy step side short bed with a 454 big block the only thing that wasn't rusty was the hood got 8 miles to the gallon but it was a monster all ways started and just power up the ass would spin the tires flat 60 series all it needed was a body jack the hood up and roll another body under LOL
i sold my truck i opened the hood there sets a big block the guy said i'll take it when it fired right up 600 dollars he got a deal plus 400 turbo transmission very good working all he had to do is drop it in his rod turn key
Dylan Rapp no rubbing here. depending on what brand lift you get it may sit higher or lower. rough country 4 inch lifts sit higher than other 4 inch lifts
another engine for a truck small block 71 400 small block four bolt main's 400 turbo transmission that thing was strong when you told it to go it was gone my daddy said son your going to drive me to drinkin i said ok i'll drive LO BLOODY L
