Definitely a 1985… from the grille,to the instrument panel woodgrain color, to the engine shroud decal… but the rear lower back panel with red reflector was 1988 only…a single black rectangular stripe around the outer perimeter of the brushed finish panel above the red reflector panel between the taillights.

This isn't a 1989 model year (although it appears to have a tail panel from one), it's a 1985, as shown by the fan shroud emission decal. Also, 1989 didn't have TBI, it would have had MFI. 1985-1987 had the back up lights in the center of the rear panel, this has a 1988-1989 style panel where the backup lights were moved to the outer corner. No VIN, can't win (glare and too far away), but can be figured out, no doubt: 1LN for US made Lincoln passenger car, B for manual seat belts, P96 for Lincoln Town Car, F for 5.0L (302 CID) V8 with CFI (TBI), then a check digit, then F for the 1985 model year, then Y for Wixom, MI assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Wixom MI plant operated from 1957 to 2007. No tag, can't brag, but looks like code 6C Light Wheat exterior paint.

85 86 grill but stainless deck lid is 87 88 I don't think it has the third brake light

I know this Lincoln isn't a 85. Because the back up lights are right next to the brake lights and my Ex girlfriend's parents had a 88 and a89 Town Car with those back up lights like this 1 in video

Weird engine. My 89 Vic had the multiport injection. That Lincoln engine reminds of a 351 with the variable venturi carb. That was the optional engine in the Vic.
