This 31-3 butt whipping is a prelude to what's going to happen over the next few years in Green Bay. Once Rodgers gets fed up with a useless front office he will be gone! I for one DON'T BLAME HIM AT ALL! They haven't done squat to get some veteran weapons on offense. YES they drafted receivers, but they take years to develop. A high end veteran receiver could have helped mold those young guys, helped them with routes and delays, but nope, once again the Front Office does NOTHING! When the Green Bay Packers lose Rodgers and Courtney Love ❤ becomes their QB.....OMG LMFAO! If Green Bay wins 3-4 games that year I'll 💩my🩳👖!
Thanks so much for this, been looking for it for years. Do you have Oilers/Browns from a Week 13 of 86? Game was so sloppy it is probably fun to watch - 8 fumbles and 9 INT. Thanks either way!
Man I also have the Oilers vs. Seahawks playoff game on dvd I'm trying to convert that was recorded off the AFN too. but I'm having trouble with the second disc
First Packer game I seriously watched. I was 10 years old at the time. I remember thinking that the Packers were going to win when they scored on their opening drive. Then the Oilers scored 31 straight points to win 31-3. And of course the Packers won only four games that year. I must have been really loyal or stubborn to stay a Packer fan but I have been rewarded with my loyalty every since. As the season wore on, this loss looked embarrassing because the Oilers lost eight straight games after this game. But to be fair, the Oilers were competitive in those games and then finished strong by going 4-3 in the last seven games and then were playoff contenders from 1987-93. They stuck with Warren Moon despite his 26 interceptions this season and were rewarded with a Hall of Fame career and had receivers Drew Hill and Ernest Givens (his rookie season) with thousand yards seasons (and then adding Curtis Duncan and Haywood Jeffries the next year) and already having two Hall of Fame offensive linemen in Bruce Matthews and Mike Munchak. So an interesting start for me as a Packer fan. And if you were an Oiler fan, you were going to be happy in the near future.
1986 was the first season NFL Films released highlights for each team on VHS. The writers were hard pressed to make the '86 Packers sound good on that script. I know, for i have that VHS tape.
Thanks for all of the great uploads. You have several games that normally don't appear on the web. I wish I'd been able to watch some of these games, before the football police took them down (Bills 1990, Lions 1992). Anyway, thanks again for the great service you're providing for us Oilers fans.
You are absolutely welcome bro. I've been trying to post games I have that aren't on here, or if I think my copy is better. Btw, I'm gonna try posting that Lions game again today
Who'se the announcer? Todd Donahoe? Sam Nover maybe? Doesn't even sound like Gary Gerould who was with them back then. These were in the years GB's audience would get the lower case network announcers and shown to 5% of the country. Now, or as of recent, it's Joe Buck.
It was Gary Gerould. I was so used to hearing his' ABC sports racing reporting from the 90's. Gerould DID do the sideline reporting for the Fiesta Bowl earlier in this calendar year where his current partner was Charlie Jones' partner for that aforementioned game.
