I wonder if it could read out the M40 system on E30 which is usually 1.6 or 1.8 litre. Production up to 1994, but this is 4 cylinder engine. I had one once and nobody could connect to it properly. Maybe tools were faulty.

What Monotronic version is necessary? I had no idea diagnostic tools like this worked on such an old vehicle.
