Who in the right mind would say a bone stock Caprice or LTD Crown Victoria is boring? Jdm boys and super car people, and they don’t have the right mind.
CONGRATULATIONS on your fine, excellent taste in keeping this worthy car "stock". I've got a white '89, without the few extra options that the Brougham provides . . . and was fortunate to get it for low money. Said car will likely out-live me!
No, it's not boring. I have two(2) of these same-year '89 Caprice... both of mine with the F41 sport suspension. One has high miles, the other has low miles. Both function well, with everything workings. But what I don't understand... is why so many people think that these '89 Caprices are the greatest car ever. This mystifies me. I'm even toying with selling....
Very nice, but it doesn't have "every option available". It looks fairly well equipped, but even without looking too closely or checking the build sheet it obviously doesn't have leather interior or the power sunroof option.
And... I have to wonder if it has the optional "F41 sport suspension", which has a few additional things, like a rear sway bar and the front sway bar is solid, not hollow,... and ones with the F41 come with different shocks, different steering box, different springs, and somewhat higher-numerically differential ratio (around a 3.42). Mine gets 22.5 mpg.. in town!
The exact thing that ruins all these classics. Noone that can afford it wants to buy it once its all hood ratted out. Worth way more the way it is shown
