She was so adorable. Sweet face and a voice you could listen to every day. I had knee surgery a few years before her. They opened it right up on both sides. Left two long scars. Every once in a while it stiffens up and throbs.
The irony. At 17, she did Paradise to get into the limelight. But as she became more famous, she stopped all the nudity. She matured and didn’t seek, especially as she became a mother. I call that classy... unlike most actresses clutching on to something so cheap and skanky as they become older. How can anyone not respect such choices. Just the best of all time.
I noticed from the first interviews with Letterman to the later ones by the late 80's, she became much more mature and lay back in a quick manner. Usually most women even back then would take almost 20 years to get where Cate at from that period.
You could tell Dave had a crush on Phoebe. So did Paul. He brought out flowers for her. Dave didn’t do that for many women that appeared on his show. I think being around Kevin Kline a much older person will do that. I may not agree with a lot people on this topic but prior to hooking up with Kevin in 85 on interviews. Phoebe was too secure and conceded with herself. I noticed from 84 to 89 around those periods, she became much more lay back and opened as a person instead of this God beauty looking actress like as always was. Plus I think that's an accomplish because she was 26 during that interview.
As an old Gen X woman, I actually had no problem when I learned she married Kevin Kline since I found him not only attractive but very talented and quite funny. And he was not a balding middle-aged man. He was very fit as well.

Phoebe is 1/4 Filipino-Chinese so her genes contributed to her porcelain skin and youthful look. Phoebe looked better than Jessica in their prime, though.

There was even a newspaper story about a patient that complained about a condition requiring antibiotics and then the hospital published a rebuttal saying the patient was only given antibiotics because of worry lol.

And exactly my point, whether it was bad roles or lack of roles... she gave up acting to focus on being a mother. She was a good actress, a big name and beautiful - it was her decision.
@@2taggs2 Ture. She turned down roles especially when she had kids. Plus, Phoebe was born rich and got easily bored with certain things in her life. In fact, boredom made her give up modelling in favor of acting. Then she opened her shop when her kids had grown up a bit since that was what she wanted to do at that time and maybe overcome another bout of boredom LOL. Kevin did say that it was Phoebe's choice to give up her acting career.
unfortunately I have to agree, it's nice that everyone is being so kind to her here but that short hair is not her at her best, not even close....It's like stars go through periods where they are tired of looking like the hottest person on the planet and want to look more ordinary ?!?
