Just imported one of these (1991 JZS131). Definitely recommend pulling the ECU and changing the capacitors! My car has 40K miles, but after reading about issues with capacitors in early LS400 ECUs, I decided to pull mine. All of the capacitors had leaked and needed to be replaced. It's an easy fix, assuming there is no damage to any of the traces. The ECU is located on the passenger's side below the dash and left of the foot well.
