100. After that "Intentional Grounding" call, I kind of figured 'Ok, they gave it a good shot. Here is where the wheels come off.' Then, something really stood out. When Aikman scrambled out of the pocket and hit Novacek down the field for 45+ yards, felt like things were turning at that moment. I did the Fanboy thing the rest of the day.
First time watching the game since watching it live and it's amazing how much better they were from the previous year, Jimmy was nowehere near done building the team, and the defense would like totally different 2 years later.
As people said this is one that got Dallas turning some heads. Sadly the last two games were a set back but at least the next year the 6-5 Cowboys made everyone turn their heads and notice the Cowboys when they defeated the undefeated REdskins that game.
Those were exciting times when the baby Cowboys competed with the big boys. For some reason we also matched up well with the Redskins. The writing was on the wall. The boys are back in town!!!
This game was blacked out in DFW and several nearby markets. The Lions game against Denver was also blacked out locally. 1990 was the last year in which neither Thanksgiving game was a sellout.
I like how Smith just pushed aside green like he was a piece of shit. The difference between Smith and Dorsett. Dorsett tried to outrun Green. Smith let green catch up and just brushed him off with ease.
