You can make the argument that 2012 was the best Thanksgiving ever You had the Lions/Texans OT thriller, you had this shootout, and then you had the Butt Fumble

RGIII was one of the NFL's comets that blazed through the football sky. He shined briefly yet oh so brightly

RGIII was a bright young quarterback when he first came to the NFL, unfortunately his leg injuries basically derailed his career

2012 was the prime of the nfl

RG3 on the Redskins, felt like a different era

8 years ago quarterbacks were taking massive hits. Damn, it’s crazy how much the game has changed.

RGIII was ahead his time. With guys like Kyler and Russ coming up I think RGIII would’ve been better in today’s game.

Alfred Morris was another one of those guys that looked so good, and then just fell off of a cliff out of nowhere. He balled out in this one

I remember this game vividly. At work with a pain in the ass cowboys fan (everyone has one) and continually checking out the game on tv. Back then I thought the future was so bright for Washington. Little did I know that I would go through more years of heartbreak.

Looking at these RG3 games and seeing great he was before he got sabotaged by his own coaches, got hurt and lost his confidence is something else. The Skins were scoring over 30 points a game in MANY games. No telling how many titles RG3 would have won if he had a coach and management that had his best interests in mind. And I'm not even a Washington fan, but you have to give credit where it is due. RG3 was the man.

This is one Thanksgiving game my family doesn't talk about we don't talk about the one against the Panthers either but it was fun to watch a little and I really hope the Cowboys bring back those uniforms on Thanksgiving

They absolutely kicked our asses that one Thanksgiving until we NEARLY came back late in the game but whenever someone delivers a challenge towards like they did, never count us out till the very end. Hopefully my Boyz get payback Thursday, we need this game.

I forgot how good the 2012 team was. They were firing on all cylinders at this point in the season. You can also see the huge difference in culture compared to since then in Washington. Love the 99 skins too. Wasn’t old enough to see the 80 and early 90s skins teams.
